Tasting Apples at Metro with Windy WISE

The children at Metro Head Start observed, tasted, and stamped with apples. This is all part of the @windywise program that partners with us to provide nutrition activities and experiences every month.

Children need to be exposed to new foods over some time.  They may snub their nose up at something new the first few times, but you can slowly encourage them to explore the new food item.  Have them touch it, smell it, lick it, and as they get more comfortable with a new food, they may decide to taste it.  Make trying new foods a positive experience for children and you will help them build healthy eating habits for the rest of their lives.
