Windy Wise Has a New Home—Thanks to the Creative Teachers in Classroom 1!

The talented teachers in Classroom 1 at Little Learners Head Start have been busy building a cozy new house for Windy Wise and her owl family, and it’s absolutely adorable!

Windy Wise is a wise friend who helps our Head Start children learn about healthy eating and making smart choices. She’s also the character/mascot for the WISE ( We Inspire Smart Eating ) curriculum, developed at @uamshealth. Each month, classrooms explore a new fruit or vegetable, learning about it in Week 1 and tasting it in different ways (raw, cooked, smoothie-style) throughout the rest of the month.

This month, the creative minds in Classroom 1 decided Windy needed a special place to live—and they built her a safe and fun home where she can always be found, ready to teach and inspire. What a fantastic way to blend imagination, nutrition, and learning!

Programs like this are just one of the many ways UAMS Head Start supports the whole child—nurturing not just learning, but health, wellness, and lifelong habits.
