With Christmas spirit comes Christmas songs, and we can’t enjoy both without a little bit of caroling on the holidays. Students from our UAMS Head Start Pulaski Tech location started the holidays of right by singing their hearts out and lifting spirits at UAMS’s main campus. Click the link to see how two local tv stations covered the event.

Our extended year curriculum started off with a week full of activities to teach us all about camping. The classroom was set up as a campground with a camper, a boat for going fishing and a play campfire for roasting marshmallows, hotdogs and making s’mores. The Girl Scouts visited the center and taught us about camping badges and camping songs. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission visited us and taught us about what kinds of animals you might see while camping, how to be safe in the woods and how to keep the woods safe. Many of the children have never been camping and this was a great learning experience
