Happy Monday Head Start Family!
We have a lot to celebrate this week! First and foremost, I want to acknowledge and thank all of our education staff for their dedication and hard work with children and families as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. We recognize both the rewards and challenges of a career in teaching; specifically young children but know the rewards outweigh the challenges. You inspire a thirst for learning with eagerness and enthusiasm. You develop resilience by creating consistent and secure environments, with clear expectations and predictable routines so children can develop skills in managing themselves and their emotions. You invest in the lives of young children for them to thrive and become the very best they can be in the future; be proud of that and the work you do. We applaud you!!!!
We also celebrate National Hospital Week which is another opportunity to thank all of our dedicated caregivers and recognize the tremendous job you all do for taking care of our country! UAMS has planned daily activities that you can find here: Hospital Week 2021 | UAMS GoUAMS
Last, but certainly not least we celebrate the amazing work we all do in providing Head Start services to our community. On Friday we received our Federal Monitoring report with No areas of concern, non-compliances nor deficiencies. In summary, the letter to the report read: “Based on the information gathered during this review, it has been determined that your program meets the requirements of all applicable HSPPS, laws, regulations, and policy requirements”.
In celebration of this week, we will have a pizza party on Friday May 12th. All sites will receive pizza, salad, and breadsticks, we also have other goodies that we will send out during this week. A small token of our appreciation to our wonderful, dedicated staff! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to You All!!!!
