Due to the government shutdown, Congress hasn’t passed a federal funding appropriation for Head Start programs. Unfortunately, without needed funding, UAMS is forced to temporarily close its Head Start Centers effective Nov. 1. We will continue to monitor the situation to keep our families informed. We hope to reopen soon. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we navigate this challenging time together.
